Woman's jaw drops at second-hand find: "The gods are on my side"

Holland (Michigan/USA) - Margaret could hardly believe her eyes when she recently strolled through the aisles of a second-hand store in the US state of Michigan.

On one of the countless shelves, she found a beautiful jar with a blue and white checkerboard pattern and a playful gold handle. Margaret knew immediately what it meant.

"The gods were on my side today," she proclaimed, still stunned, as she gazed stunned into the camera for a TikTok video. She then pointed the camera at the jar, which is used to store cookies.

"This is the find of my life," she wrote under the clip. And it's no wonder. While presenting the jar to her followers, she also showed how much the used jar cost her: a mere four US dollars! That's the equivalent of around 3.80 euros.

But why is that so special? After all, it's just a pretty container - isn't it?

No such luck! As Margaret revealed in the caption of the post, she had found part of the "Royal Set" tableware collection from the luxury brand "MacKenzie-Childs". You can currently get hold of this exact jar online for a hefty 79 US dollars (around 77 euros).

She could hardly believe that she only had to pay five percent of the original price for the used glass.

Margaret couldn't stop raving in the comments either. While she was inundated with countless messages from users expressing their envy at the bargain, the young woman was still shaking her head in disbelief.

"I still can't find the words for it," she wrote there and: "I never usually get this lucky, I just can't believe it!"
