Woman shows dog where master died: The animal's reaction is heartbreaking

Murray City (Ohio/USA) - The wound in Deanna Harness' heart is still very fresh: the US-American lost her beloved husband, best friend and father of her children at the end of last year. But it's not just the mother of three who is grieving - the family dog has also not yet got used to the fact that his master will never return.

Deanna Harness shared a video on TikTok in which she visited the place where her husband Josh died for the first time with her four-legged friend. "My husband took his own life on New Year's Eve 2024," she writes in her post.

In the clip, which has been clicked on millions of times, you can see the four-legged friend rushing purposefully to a spot on the lawn and sniffing excitedly.

Deanna explains that her husband was found in this exact spot around two months ago. She is sure that her dog can still detect the scent of the deceased and therefore ran straight there.

The field is not an unfamiliar place for the animal. Josh would have "always liked to take his dog there to play ball".

After his terrible decision, the man from Ohio left behind not only his stunned wife and three sons, but also his dog Raya. The furry friend and Josh had been one heart and one soul and the American had treated the animal like a daughter. "He was her human, she searches for him every day without fail," says widow Deanna.

Now the mother of three is suddenly all alone and not only has to cope with the enormous grief, but also take care of the funeral and prepare for life without a partner. Things are not looking good for the family, especially financially, as Josh is now no longer the main breadwinner.

For this reason, Deanna is now raising money via a GoFundMe page to pay the upcoming bills.

In addition, by publicizing her fate, she is trying to possibly dissuade other affected people from making a bad decision: "There is always a way to save a bad situation. Suicide is not the answer," she writes.

TAG24 does not normally report on suicides. However, as the case was and is of great public interest, the editorial team has decided to report on it.

If you are affected by suicidal thoughts yourself, you can contact the telephone counseling service around the clock, anonymously of course. Telephone counseling: 08001110111 or 08001110222 or 08001110116123.
