Woman returns puppy after 24 hours: When animal shelter caretakers look at him, they are horrified
El Paso (Texas) - What a poor puppy girl! Boo had to endure so much suffering in the first few weeks of her life. As soon as everything seemed to be getting better, the next drama was on the horizon. A woman returned her to the shelter after just 24 hours. When the carers took a closer look at her, they were horrified - Boo was injured.

The little dog was originally born on the street and was then rescued together with her mother dog and her siblings. But at the shelter, the mother suddenly began to reject her offspring.
Boo was therefore placed with the Compassionate Canine Society along with two of her siblings. The non-profit animal welfare organization had the capacity to bottle-feed the kittens.
But then things got even worse: all three of the already weakened puppies fell ill with pneumonia.
"The vet said they probably wouldn't survive, the strain on their little bodies was just too much," said Payton Brianne of the Compassionate Canine Society in a recent interview with Newsweek.
Fortunately, the three little dogs survived. After her recovery, Boo was placed with a woman on a trial basis, but she was returned just 24 hours later because she had howled too much.
But the carers were horrified for another reason.

The poor animal had a big bump on its head. Where did it come from? There was no explanation. "We had stipulated in her contract that she could bring her back to us at any time, so that's not a problem. The problem was that she came back injured," Brianne told the US magazine.
Nevertheless, the keepers tried to make the best of the situation. "She has reintegrated with the other dogs without any problems and is enjoying her little hiding places in the house again," said the US American.
However, there is now light on the horizon.
There are several interested parties who would like to take Boo in. But Brianne warns: "She is still too young to be house-trained at the moment. Her new family will have to practise this with her, as well as all the other basics."
