What these police officers pull out of a chiller cabinet is anything but ordinary
Chicago (USA) - Oops, where did he come from? Police officers pulled a four-legged friend from the shelves of a supermarket in Chicago (USA) that certainly didn't belong there.
Yesterday, Monday morning, officers were called to an unusual operation.
Shoppers at a supermarket had observed a coyote hanging around outside the store for some time, probably looking for a safe place to hide.
Probably hoping to find a quiet spot, the animal slipped into the store and crawled into the depths of a refrigerated shelf.
An expert from the Cook County Coyote Project told ABC 7 Chicago: "It picked a strange place. They do that sometimes. They try to avoid us. They try to hide from us."
To locate the coyote, officers first used a broom and carefully poked around among the shelves.
Coyote pulled from shelf with great effort
As a video published on X shows, one of the police officers finally managed to get hold of the four-legged friend's tail and then brutally pulled the animal off the shelf.
The coyote immediately tried to find shelter again between the refrigerated products, but was finally caught a few minutes later.
Neither humans nor animals were injured during the unusual rescue operation. However, the shock may be deep-seated for everyone involved.
