Teenager injects herself with butterfly: what happens afterwards is terrible

According to reports from the Brazilian online news portal uol, 14-year-old Davi Nunes Moreira has died after a dangerous experiment in which he injected himself with a dangerous mixture.

The teenager had initially told his father that he had fallen while playing and was therefore limping. But when the pain got worse and worse and he started vomiting, they finally went to see a doctor.

There he admitted what he had injected into his leg - a mixture of water and a crushed butterfly, apparently as part of a dangerous online challenge.

On February 12, his condition worsened dramatically and Davi went into septic shock.

The young teenager eventually died in hospital in Planalto.

The police have started an investigation and are now waiting for the full results of the autopsy to find out more about the exact circumstances of the tragic incident.
