Elderly couple gets a free meal: What brothers then experience goes to the heart
London (UK) - It's a tradition for brothers Jacob and Harvey Nelson (also known as the "thespudbrothers") to give away free food to the last customer of the day at their food truck. For them, this is the time to talk to their customers. But what this older man tells them is heart-wrenching.

Jakob and Harvey Nelson are known for one thing in particular: Baked potatoes. Together, the two brothers not only run a food truck where they make many customers happy every day with delicious baked potatoes, but also a successful TikTok channel ("thespudbrothers") with over 3.6 million followers.
On this channel, the two regularly publish videos of how they passionately prepare potatoes with various toppings for their customers.
Last Monday, the pair published a video from their snack bar. In the clip, you can see an elderly couple walking past the trolley when one of the brothers approaches them: "Excuse me, would you like two free baked potatoes?" he asks.
"Come on, it's cold outside and you're probably freezing, the potatoes will warm you up quickly."
The couple approached the car somewhat hesitantly and accepted the offer. The two brothers immediately set about ordering. When they had finished, they naturally asked the woman, who looked very dejected. Her husband quickly explained to the two brothers that she had just fallen while shopping.
The two brothers immediately asked if everything was all right and whether they should call for help.
Man always looks out for his wife so she doesn't fall

The elderly gentleman kindly declined the offer and explained to both of them that his wife suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
He ordered the same potato for his wife as he did for himself. He went on to say that he always looks out for his wife so that she doesn't fall and always takes her by the hand, especially on escalators, but in the shopping center he couldn't prevent her from falling.
One of the two brothers comforted him and said: "As long as nothing has happened and you're both fine, everything is great."
Since the video was published, the comments have been full of emotional messages from viewers who have also shared their own fates and experiences with the disease. One wrote: "This video made me cry. My grandfather has Alzheimer's too."
And so it turns out that it's not about the free potatoes, but about bringing joy to people.
