Dog sits on the street after owner's death: "He doesn't understand why nobody wants him"
Odessa (Ukraine) - What a sad sight: After the death of his owner, Lyolik the dog sat alone on the street in Ukraine. He waited there every day for his owner to return and ran to every other pedestrian. Fortunately, the "Love Furry Friends" were finally called in.

The animal welfare activists from Odessa came with front woman Olena and a colleague to help the dog . They saw a heartbreaking picture on site.
"This poor boy doesn't understand why nobody takes him home," says the accompanying YouTube video by Love Furry Friends, which has been showing the sad story of the furry friend since last weekend.
But: the women had an easy time with Lyolik, he willingly let them carry him to their car. At the animal shelter, he immediately felt at home among the other dogs.
Olena couldn't understand why no one had given him a chance on the street, he was so tame.
But the tide was soon to turn.

Lyolik had to be dewormed, vaccinated and neutered at the vet. He was also given a thorough grooming by the groomer, who gave the four-legged friend a new shine.
At the end of their videos, the Love Furry Friends often call for people to give the dog featured in the video a chance. But in this case, they have already achieved their goal.
Lyolik has already had his happy ending. He has found a home with a family, where he has two loving owners, as recent footage at the end of the YouTube video shows.
"We are continuing our rescue mission despite the war in Ukraine (...) They always need our help," the animal rights activists write under the clip.
