Dog desperate for food: the reason why no one helps him is understandable

Odessa (Ukraine) - What sad pictures: In war-torn Ukraine , a little dog is left to fend for herself. She could be a puppy, but only looks so young because she hardly gets anything to eat. The latest YouTube video from "Love Furry Friends" shows the misery of this furry friend. The animal rights activists from Odessa also reveal why no one is helping her - the reason is even obvious.

"The sales clerks said that the locals would not take the dog because she had ringworm and it was contagious to humans, especially children," the team reports in the video.

In fact, ringworm is a superficial fungal infection of the skin that can be transmitted by touch. In most cases, however, it is harmless.

The two animal welfare activists who have come to help the little four-legged friend are correspondingly unconcerned. It doesn't take long before one of them has the animal in her arms.

Then it's straight to the vet, where a well-known member of the Love Furry Friends is already waiting.

Animal rights activist Olena welcomes Lolita, as they now call the dog. The Love Furry Friend front woman accompanies the furry friend through her examinations.

It turns out that Lolita must already be seven to eight months old, although she looks more like a puppy. She weighs just four kilos - another reason why she looks so young.

After three weeks, the worst is over. Olena takes the dog to her animal shelter at Love Furry Friends. There, the female is initially given further medication to finally defeat the ringworm, which is now subsiding.

In the video, you can see how the animal blossoms more and more together with the other dogs. She is now even completely healthy again.

What Lolita still needs is a suitable home. That's why the Love Furry Friends are appealing for interested parties in their video, which went online on Saturday.
