Boyfriend suffocated in suitcase - woman now faces life imprisonment!
Florida (USA) - A woman who left her boyfriend to die in a closed suitcase has been sentenced four years after the crime.

Last Friday, Sarah Boone (47), who had pleaded not guilty, was found guilty of murder.
As The Mirror reported, Boone told the jury that she had feared for her life after putting Jorge Torres (†42) in the suitcase. She also stated that she had been the victim of domestic violence shortly beforehand.
However, she initially told investigators that the couple had been playing hide and seek in their Florida home that day in February 2020 and had thought it would be funny if Torres got into the suitcase. They had both been drinking and Boone quickly decided to go to sleep, assuming "her boyfriend would get out of the suitcase on his own".
The next morning she woke up, noticed her boyfriend was missing and remembered that he was still in the suitcase. When she opened the zipper, she found him unconscious.
Jorge Torres desperately gasped for air in the suitcase

However, investigators arrested the woman when they discovered videos on her cell phone showing Torres in the suitcase desperately struggling for air, shouting that he couldn't breathe and repeatedly screaming Boone's name.
In the clips, she said, among other things: "Yeah, this is what you get when you choke me" and "Oh, this is how I feel when you cheat on me."
The autopsy report showed Torres had scratches on her back and neck and bruises on her shoulder, head and forehead from blunt force trauma, as well as a busted lip with a cut nearby.
During the trial, Boone changed her testimony, stating that she perceived an imminent threat due to previous violent incidents and acted in perceived self-defense by leaving him in the suitcase.
The final verdict against Boone is due to be handed down on December 2 and she faces life imprisonment.
