According to Bild , they are Susanne A. (†41) from Munich and Tobias D. (†38) from Berlin. Two other Germans are still missing.

The motor yacht "Sea Story", which takes tourists to diving spots in the Red Sea, sent out an emergency call on Monday morning.

According to Hanafi, the multi-storey boat ran into rough seas, was caught by a large wave and eventually sank.

It had no technical defects. Some passengers had not made it out of their cabins in time.

The country's meteorological authority had forecast bad weather over the Mediterranean and the Red Sea for Sunday and Monday and recommended that travel on the seas be suspended on these days.
