Actress raves about Taylor Swift: Pop star donates large sum for sick children
USA - An actress raved about Taylor Swift (35), who donated a considerable sum to a children's charity "without batting an eyelid".

Ellen Pompeo (55), known from the hit series "Grey's Anatomy", was very grateful to the pop star.
As People reported, the 55-year-old was a guest on the "Jennifer Hudson Show" on Wednesday and spoke about Swift's extraordinary generosity.
The two met around ten years ago when Pompeo was part of the music video for her song "Bad Blood" and they got talking.
At the time, Pompeo and her husband were volunteering in a children's hospital program.
"Chris [Pompeo's husband, editor's note] and I were doing a lot of volunteer work for Children's Hospital Los Angeles at the time . They have a great program where they make music for the babies in the neonatal intensive care unit and for the parents who have to work all day and can't be with their children," says Pompeo.
Taylor Swift regularly donates large sums of money

She explained that the staff record the parents' voices, process them into songs and then play them to the children. This helps the babies to develop when mom and dad can't be there.
She told all this to the "Cruel Summer" singer, adding that the organization was in desperate need of money. So she asked Swift if she could write her a cheque for the organization.
And indeed: after a few minutes, the 35-year-old came back to the actress and handed her one.
"She knew me for 20 minutes and wrote me a check without batting an eyelid," said the 55-year-old enthusiastically.
Taylor Swift is known for her generosity. As part of her "The Eras Tour " alone, she donated over 185 million euros to her crew. She has also supported numerous charities, including the British food bank and the victims of the forest fires in Los Angeles .
Taylor Swift is also a big fan of "Grey's Anatomy" and even has one of her cats named "Meredith" - named after Pompeo's role in the series.
