The 24-year-old tourist Kamilla Belyatskaya was filming herself just seconds before she died, raving about the beauty of the Thai island.

She had made herself comfortable on her pink yoga mat on a rocky outcrop, looking out over the Gulf of Thailand, when she was suddenly hit by a large wave and pulled into the churning sea.

Further harrowing footage shows her fighting for her life in the foaming waves. But in vain. Her body was found last weekend about 1.5 kilometers from the Lad Ko lookout point.

According to reports, a foreign man threw himself into the waves to save the 24-year-old. His fate is still unknown.

According to The Mirror, the rescue teams that arrived 15 minutes after the tourist fell were unable to save her due to the stormy waves.

Belyatskaya raved about the island shortly before her death

Shortly before her tragic fate, Kamilla had raved about the popular tourist island of Koh Samui on social media, especially about the fateful viewpoint: "I love Samui so much. But this place, this rocky beach, is the best thing I've ever seen in my life," she was quoted as saying by The Mirror.

She and her boyfriend had spent their vacation on Thailand's second largest island. She was very happy there and described the island as "the best place on earth".

Meanwhile, a Thai authority warned people to exercise extreme caution and avoid rocky coastal areas when the waves are high.
