Influencer (†28) clings to her car and fights for her life: Then the flood comes!

Minas Gerais (Brazil) - Influencer Jenniffer Soares Martins (†28) hadno chance against this force of nature.The Brazilian died in a flash flood on the open road last Sunday.

As reported by CNN Brasil , a storm caused flooding in the city of Uberlândia in the south-east of the country early on Sunday morning.

Soares Martins and husband Wallison Lima were traveling by car at the time and were therefore in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Video footage shows the dramatic moments before the young woman had to surrender to the masses of water. Brown broth billowed up around the couple. Soares Martins and her husband initially managed to climb out of their silver car and cling to its bodywork.

Meanwhile, passers-by tried to rescue the influencer and her partner from the floods with a ladder. But the couple suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth. It later became clear that the 28-year-old had fought in vain to survive.

The civil defense of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais later confirmed the influencer's death. Husband Wallison Lima, however, escaped with a scare: he was able to defy the force of nature and survived.

On the same day, the Brazilian wrote a touching message on his Instagram profile. "I just want her back," wrote Lima.

Jenniffer Soares Martins was followed by more than 100,000 people on Facebook and Instagram. The 28-year-old kept her followers up to date with content on fashion, lifestyle and make-up. According to reports, the Brazilian even posted a story just a few moments before her tragic death.

Soares Martins and her husband Wallison Lima had been together for more than 14 years. The couple married eight years ago.
