Girl (†7) eats chicken nuggets at neighbor's: Shortly afterwards she is dead

Midwest City (USA) - Seven-year-old Violet Mitchell was invited by a neighbor in the US state of Oklahoma to eat chicken nuggets with her - unaware of the unimaginable fate that awaited the girl afterwards.

As the Daily Mail reports, neighbor Tera Day tried to find out more about Violet's parents as she prepared chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and carrots for the hungry and crying girl.

But the seven-year-old remained tight-lipped, saying only that her parents loved her. However, it later transpired that the child was regularly tied up by her arms and legs in her crib.

She was allegedly only given bread and her mouth was often taped shut, her cousin, who is also seven years old, told us afterwards.

Only a few days after Violet had been with her neighbor, she was taken to hospital. But the doctors there could only determine that she had died.

The girl is said to have been extremely malnourished and consisted only of skin and bones.

The autopsy revealed that her death was caused by a digestive disorder, as a plastic baby bottle blocked her small intestine. At the time, she weighed only 29 pounds (about 13 kilograms) and was wearing a diaper, which is actually meant for babies.

Violet's mother, Lisa Mitchell, and her boyfriend, Anthony Yonko, were arrested for child neglect and abuse. David, Anthony's brother, and Lisa's sister, Tiffany, were also arrested for allegedly knowing about the abuse but not reporting it.

The trialwill take place on November 27 .
