Will Trump now let this Netflix star out of prison - and into his cabinet?

USA - New hope? Joe Exotic (61), the main character of the successful Netflix documentary "Tiger King", has been in prison for around five years. But after the re-election of Donald Trump (78) as US President, that could change. At least the controversial TV star is leaving no stone unturned.

In 2020, Joe Exotic (61) became world-famous practically overnight thanks to the successful documentary series "Tiger King" on Netflix.

In a letter, the former operator of a private zoo has personally addressed the President-elect of the United States and asked for a pardon, as reported byRadarOnline.

"Many people stood up for you in 2021 and have been living in hell ever since," wrote Joseph Allen Maldonado, the real name of the "Tiger King".

"Everyone hopes you keep your campaign promises, such as pardoning all prisoners sooner rather than later in January 2025," the 61-year-old added.

Many Trump supporters would have been in solitary confinement during the term of office of his successor Joe Biden (81) and lived "like rats", some would have committed suicide or died.

Not so the mullet-wearer: "Some, like me, fought like hell to hang on in the hope that they would win the election."

Can Donald Trump (78) be softened up and pardon Joe Exotic (61, not pictured) after all?

Joe Exotic ended up behind bars for various violations of the Animal Welfare Act and was later sentenced to 22 years in prison for his involvement in the contract killing of his opponent Carol Baskin (63), which was ultimately not carried out.

Towards the end of Trump's last term in office, the inmate, who was suffering from prostate cancer, had already hoped for a remission from the Republican. A make-up team and a stretch limo are even said to have been waiting outside the prison.

Ultimately, however, the 45th US President decided against granting the clemency request, whereupon the Netflix celebrity made serious accusations against him on social media.

Exotic accused the head of state of having a problem with his homosexuality as well as corruption. However, the former zoo owner does not seem to hold a grudge, on the contrary. Should he be released, he is now offering himself as the new director of the Federal Fish and Wildlife Service in Trump's cabinet.

"It's time to bring honesty to this department," wrote the convicted felon.
