Dog owners have a baby: what their pooch suddenly demands makes them laugh
Texas (USA) - Couples who have become parents for the second time know that their first-borns can suddenly display unexpected behavior or even show a regression in development after the birth of a sibling. However, the fact that this can also be the case with animal "children" is probably news to some ...
Ashley Taylor from Texas and her partner welcomed their first child together in August. Well - at least their first human child. The couple had actually already become parents once before when they adopted their four-legged friend, a cute Poochon.
So it's no wonder that it was initially confusing for the dog when there was suddenly a little baby that the whole world was supposed to revolve around from one day to the next.
But the sweet poodle mix probably thought: not with me! Instead of simply accepting the new "hierarchy", the furry friend insisted on receiving the same special treatment as his little human brother.
You can see what this means for Ashley and her partner in everyday life in a TikTok video, which shows both the baby and the dog lying on the bed.
Video with dog and baby gets millions of clicks
"Imagine this: Your firstborn is jealous and wants the same attention as his human brother," Ashley writes about the clip, which went viral on the platform at lightning speed.
Ashley's boyfriend has been seen more than five million times pretending to change Bichapoo 's diaper. He had probably done this for his son before and now the dog in the house had also asked to be cleaned. "Is anyone else feeling like this?" asks the Texan, unsettled.
But the viewers can reassure her: "Yes, it really happens ... 😂 Every time I swaddle the baby, the beagle wants the same thing ... 😂", writes one user with amusement.
Other users praise the couple's behavior because they still involve their dog in everything despite the birth of the child. So the four-legged friend shouldn't feel left out.
And the viewers are sure of one thing: thanks to the special treatment, dog and baby are sure to become best friends!
