Todd died at his home in Marina del Rey in the US state of California. An official cause of death has not yet been announced, as reported by theMirror.

The Hollywood star had been active for four decades and can count films such as "The Crow" and "Final Destination" among his portfolio.

However, he was best known to fans as an icon of the horror genre. As early as 1992, when he played the antagonist in the film "Candyman's Curse", it was clear that he belonged in the world of horror.

This is also reflected in comments from mourning fans on the X platform.

"His commanding presence on screen literally forced you to stop and listen - be it in Candyman or just a cameo. In real life, he was as warm as his thunderous voice. He gave the best hugs. I will miss him so much," writes one of them.
