Man goes berserk: Girlfriend stabbed because of new hairstyle!

Lancaster (USA) - In the US state of Pennsylvania, 50-year-old Carmen Martinez-Silva decided to get a new haircut, which greatly angered her 49-year-old partner. He brutally murdered the woman with a kitchen knife.

Carmen had her hair cut on Saturday. When she returned home, her boyfriend Benjamin Garcia Gual is said to have completely lost control, as PennLive reported.

In an outburst of violence and aggression, he even directed death threats at her.

Out of fear, Carmen fled to her daughter Yamaris, where she spent the night to get to safety.

The next morning, Carmen is said to have contacted an acquaintance and asked him to tell Benjamin that the relationship was over.

However, he apparently did not want to accept the break-up and refused to acknowledge that the relationship was over.

In order to confront his partner, the 49-year-old went to the house of Carmen's brother, Luis Martinez-Silva, apparently hoping to find her there.

After initially being turned away, Benjamin returned a few minutes later and suddenly began stabbing Luis with a kitchen knife.

Carmen tried to pull him away from her brother, but he allegedly turned to her and stabbed her several times.

The woman then collapsed, bleeding, and the emergency doctor who arrived was later only able to confirm Carmen's death.

Benjamin was arrested by the police with the bloodstained knife and charged with murder, attempted murder and grievous bodily harm. He is in custody at the Lancaster County Jail.

Yamaris' daughter launched a GoFundMe campaign after the tragedy to help with funeral costs and emotional coping. So far, more than 5000 US dollars (around 4640 euros) have been raised.

Nobody could have imagined that something like this would happen to Carmen, according to the GoFundMe description.
