Little Brooke Carlton suffered serious injuries in June when another girl collided with her while she was training on a motorcycle track.

The nine-year-old remained unconscious on the track until paramedics came to her aid and took her to hospital, where she eventually died.

The other girl involved in the accident escaped with minor injuries.

Shortly after the collision, the park was temporarily closed, but later reopened.

Now, Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, which is located in the US state of California, announced in a Facebook post that the park will remain permanently closed due to the ongoing litigation related to the accident.

"The property owner has terminated our contract as he is also involved in the litigation. It would be in his best interests if the trail is closed. I can't blame him," the article states.

Brooke Carlton was an ambassador for the motorsport clothing brand "Go Fast Girls" and started racing at a young age.

She is described on the website as a passionate motorcycle fan who loved to ride fast and compete with other girls on the race track.

In a GoFundMe campaign, a family friend describes the nine-year-old as "an absolute sweetheart who made every day brighter with her warm smile and bright blonde locks".

Since June, 85,160 dollars (around 78,293 euros) have already been raised for the family.
