Woman shoots video in the gym: what happens two years later leaves no one indifferent
Florida/Texas (USA) - Love stories like in the movies don't exist? Then you probably haven't heard the story of how Kaitlyn and Joel Drew met. It all started - quite unromantically - at a locker in the gym.
When Kaitlyn and Joel's lives first came into contact, the American was sweating in the gym and just wanted to film herself for a moment.
It was the beginning of 2022 and Kaitlyn had just moved from Florida to Texas to focus more on herself.
As the young woman didn't yet know anyone in her area, her days consisted almost exclusively of work - and sport. She visited her local gym every day and recorded her progress on video.
Just like that day: during her workout, Kaitlyn had already caught the eye of a handsome man at the gym. However, she hadn't given a second thought to imagining a future with this very person.
Later in the changing room, however, fate struck - or rather, spoke to her.

A strange woman tells Kaitlyn that her buddy Joel had discovered her and found her "cute". It turned out to be the man who had also caught Kaitlyn's eye.
Even though the US-American was a little "caught off guard" at first, she started writing to Joel via Instagram. The very next day, they arranged to meet for a date at the gym.
And now, two years later, the two have not only moved back to Florida together and are happily married, but also welcomed their first child together in 2024. Their love may not have been there right from the start, but it would have developed into a deep friendship.
"I focused on myself and took a break from my relationship, so we were just friends at first," Kaitlyn tells Newsweek. "But as my feelings got stronger, we started dating, then we moved in together, had a baby and got married."
The clip that was to change both their lives was published by the US American on TikTok. Their love story was not only viewed more than seven million times, but also commented on thousands of times. "Someone needs to write a romance novel with this story. SO SWEET", one viewer demands, moved.
