Golden retriever sees Halloween decoration: his reaction amuses so many
Houston (Texas) - Halloween is just around the corner. Especially in the USA, people go all out and often decorate their gardens with all kinds of spooky decorations. This is all the worse for golden retriever Kevin, who lives in Houston. Because the dog is terrified of the figures that have recently appeared in the front gardens of his neighborhood.
The spook started at the end of September. A TikTok video shows what this means for the poor golden retriever (see below). Kevin stands anxiously on his lead next to a front garden where only a few Halloween decorations have been put up.
Nevertheless, the dog doesn't want to go any further, staring irritably in the direction of the strange objects. Finally, the four-legged friend decides on an alternative route. He pulls his owner into the street to give the Halloween decorations a wide berth.
So much awe is well received by the audience. The TikTok video has racked up 1.1 million clicks and more than 100,000 likes since the end of September.
Since then, however, the situation for the poor golden retriever has deteriorated further.

In other clips, you can see how he is creeped out by other front gardens, in which there is now much more to see. In one of them there are dozens of skeletons, even of dogs. No wonder Kevin steps up a gear at the sight.
"I think he likes Christmas decorations better (...), less scary," joked Kevin's owner Lauren Stroud in a recent interview with Newsweek.
But not everyone can just laugh at the story. Dog expert Katie McCaul, also speaking to Newsweek, warns: "Many Halloween decorations such as fairy lights, small ornaments and artificial cobwebs pose a choking hazard to your pet."
She added: "Be careful if your dog or puppy is particularly curious by making sure decorations are securely fastened and out of reach, and make sure they are not left alone with these hazards."
In addition, no one should forget on Halloween that dogs cannot tolerate many types of chocolate because they can contain theobromine, which is toxic to them.
So don't give your furry friends any chocolate! Otherwise Halloween could turn into a real nightmare for their owners.
