Ex-ice field hockey pro shot dead! Is his friend the pump gun killer?
Espoo (Finland) - A gruesome crime has shaken Finland! A bloody relationship crime has apparently taken place in the city of Espoo. The victim: Janne Puhaka (29).
According to media reports, the former professional ice hockey player was shot dead in cold blood by his partner.
As Ilta-Sanomat reports, citing the police, the crime was preceded by a failed relationship.
According to the report, the couple had separated some time ago and the 29-year-old is said to have moved out of the apartment they shared a few weeks earlier.
Apparently too much for Rolf Nordmo (66), who is said to have pointed a shotgun at his 37-year-old younger partner and pulled the trigger.
"The victim had moved out in the meantime and the alleged perpetrator was living here alone. We know why the victim was visiting on Sunday, but we don't want to release any details yet," Chief Superintendent Matti Högman told the Finnish tabloid Bouleverdzeitung.
According to initial findings, the murder had apparently been planned over a longer period of time. The 66-year-old subsequently handed himself in to officers and has already confessed to the crime.
