Plane crashes and crashes into front garden: pilot dies

Savannah (USA) - Residents are shocked when a Cessna crashes into a front garden. Not so the pilot.

A small plane has crashed directly in front of a residential building in the south-east of the USA.

The pilot of the Cessna was killed and the only passenger was slightly injured, according to the Savannah police (US state of Georgia) on Platform X. No one was injured on the ground.

No one on the ground was injured. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is continuing its investigation. The cause of the crash was initially unknown.

Photos showed the wreckage directly in front of the house on 66th Street.

According to a report by local broadcaster WTOC , it was a Cessna 336 that was on its way from Miami (Florida) to Savannah on Sunday evening.

As the crow flies, the distance between Miami and Savannah is around 700 kilometers.

Savannah is a port city on the Atlantic and the fifth largest city in Georgia with a population of just under 150,000.
