Three small dogs abandoned in the freezing cold: What happens next is almost unbearable for animal rescuer

California (USA) - This was too much even for the experienced animal rescuer.

Yesterday, Saturday, she reported "with a deep sigh" and tears in her eyes about her latest rescue mission - which only resulted in a happy ending for one of a total of three fur noses.

"I honestly don't know how to describe the frustration I feel", Suzette Hall explained on Facebook, "but two nights ago cowards abandoned three little babies on the side of a busy road".

The dogs then did everything in their power to stay together while they waited for their owners. But they never came back.

"Some people tried to help them, but they were too scared."

As soon as Hall heard about the fate of the pelt-noses, she set off. However, when she arrived at the place where the animals were found, she immediately felt her heart break into a thousand pieces.

"There [one of them] was, on the road. He'd been run over," she reported about one of the three abandoned animals; there was no trace of his friends. "I drove around crying, looking for the other two."

It took a while, but Hall finally found what he was looking for - at least partially.

"There she was, sitting under a car. [...] This little girl was waiting for her friends. My heart ached, she was so tiny."

Hall then took the dog to safety as quickly as possible. But as happy as she was to have saved the four-legged friend's life, she was also sad that she had not been able to help the others.

"I ended up driving around for hours looking for the third dog," she sadly announced on her Facebook account. So far without success. "We will not give up on you, my friend."

Meanwhile, Suzette Hall's son Logan, who died in 2018 at the age of just 18, is watching over the little dog who fell victim to traffic. "I know these two are playing together on the Rainbow Bridge," the animal rescuer ended her post.
