Woman has a baby - what happens to her son (†18) at home in the meantime is unimaginable

St. Louis (Missouri/USA) - What a tragic fate: Shortly after Felicia Kennell gave birth to her youngest son, she suddenly received terrible news.

As she told the television station KDSK, she found out on September 1 that her 18-year-old son Martinez Ursey had been shot and killed. She had given birth to her baby just a few days earlier and was still in hospital with the newborn at the time.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, she was then informed that the boy had died in the family home.

So now Kennell not only has to deal with the death of her child while looking after a small baby. She also simply can't bring herself to go home at the moment and deal with the scene of the accident.

But what actually happened? As People reported, the boy's cousin, Christopher J. Webb, of all people, is said to be responsible for Martinez's death.

According to the report, he shot him in the head. Beforehand, the 18-year-old is said to have told his cousin that the gun was loaded. It is not yet clear how the youths got hold of the gun.

Webb has since been arrested and is currently in custody. His next trial date has been set for today, Tuesday.

In order to at least ease the financial worries of Martinez's family, an appeal for donations has since been launched on GoFundMe, where just over 1000 US dollars (the equivalent of around 910 euros) has been collected so far.

Particularly sad: this is not the first time that Kennell, who is now mourning the loss of her eldest son while her youngest is just one month old, has had to endure such a tragedy. Martinez's father died four years ago after a shooting.

She had already had to endure a very difficult time after that. "But now that it involves my son," she continued about her pain, finally breaking off before adding: "He wouldn't want to see me on the ground. I just want justice for him."
