Airplane fiasco: Naked scenes on all screens - passengers horrified!
Australia - On a Qantas airlineflight , passengers were shocked when an inappropriate movie was shown that they couldn't turn off!
According to a report from news.com.au, there was a technical glitch on a recent flight from Australia to Japan that resulted in the same movie playing on all screens.
The film "Daddio" flickered across the monitors and caused irritation among the passengers, including several families, as it showed explicit nude scenes and obscene "sexting" content, which played a central role in the plot.
The film is rated "Restricted" - equivalent to FSK 16 in Germany - due to its explicit material and revealing depictions, including photos of exposed genitalia and sexually charged text messages.
Qantas confirmed the technical defect and explained that after it was determined that the movie was not suitable for all ages, the crew attempted to disable the screens for passengers who did not want to see the movie.
Airline Qantas apologizes
However, as this was not possible, it was decided to change the movie to a children's movie instead, but this took over an hour.
"The movie was obviously not suitable for the full duration of the flight and we sincerely apologize to the passengers for this experience. All screens have been changed to a family-friendly movie for the remainder of the flight, which is our standard practice on the rare occasions when individual movie selection is not possible," a spokesperson for the airline explained.
"We are currently reviewing how the movie was originally selected," it added.
