Buried carpet alerts cadaver sniffer dogs - the truth comes as a surprise!
USA - A TikToker took the internet by storm this week when she discovered a buried, rolled-up rug in her backyard!
Katie Santry, a content creator from the USA, shared her suspicion that her house might be haunted in a video.
This came to her mind after her laptop suddenly broke and items on her desk inexplicably went crazy.
She went on to say that she and her family had wanted to build a fence in the backyard and had dug a hole.
"Under the ground is a rolled up carpet that we came across while digging," she explained in a clip. She also noticed that a tree had been planted above the carpet.
As the rug was too big to dig up herself, Katie was only able to uncover a small corner. However, her viewers quickly agreed: there must be a dead body in the carpet!
Two cadaver sniffer dogs hit the scene
Katie called the police, who initially had little suspicion and left her house without taking any further action. But after the videos went viral, officers came forward again a few days later and said they wanted to investigate.
On Thursday, which Katie documented in another TikTok, police arrived with cadaver-sniffing dogs. To the surprise of onlookers, two different dogs hit the same spot, fueling further speculation and fear.
Excavations began on Friday morning, but officers were surprised to discover that no human remains were found.
In an update on TikTok, Katie described the experience as "the most absurd, crazy event of her life" and continued to wonder why both cadaver sniffing dogs had struck and what had happened to her laptop.
"Let's thank God there's no body," she joked, "I can stay in my house. Everyone knows where I live now, but at least it's not haunted. But who broke my laptop?"
