After the owner of two cats shared a video on his TikTok channel "maple.and.pumpkin", numerous viewers became aware of the two velvet paws.
The orange tomcat Pumpkin can be seen hiding in a cardboard box in the garden, apparently waiting for his sister Maple to come by so that he can scare her with a well-directed jump.
However, as he lies in the box and prepares for the big prank, kitten Maple walks past unmolested - Pumpkin misses the right moment and jumps out far too late.
His master interpreted the situation as a lack of timing on the part of his cat.
"When you try to scare your sister with a jump but have no sense of timing," he wrote on his video, which went viral on TikTok .
