Philadelphia (USA) - When the disgusting stench from her laundry just wouldn't go away, a Philadelphia mom got to the bottom of the odor and made a disgusting discovery.

We've probably all been there: sometimes you wash your clothes and then forget to do it in the stress of everyday life. However, the consequences can be more than unpleasant if the laundry smells afterwards.
Leah Pickard also experienced a disgusting stench instead of the smell of flowers when she took her family's washed clothes out of the washing machine. But the reason was not her forgetfulness!
"I did a load of laundry and like many busy moms, I promptly forgot about it for the day," Leah told Newsweek. When she went to take the damp clothes out of the machine and put them in the dryer, she was met with a "foul" smell . She suspected that the wet clothes had probably been in the drum for too long.
For this reason, she decided to repeat the wash cycle to get rid of the smell. But the second round was also unsuccessful: the laundry still smelled awful.

Mother Leah became impatient and frustrated. She fired up her washing machine again and had the clothes cleaned again. But then she had an idea: "I decided to dry the clothes and wash everything again, as washing alone wasn't working," says the American.
One by one, she took the laundry out of the machine - unaware of what was waiting for her at the bottom of the washing drum. Suddenly, Leah discovered the true source of the stench: "I screamed. I had to retch," her mother recalls.
There was a dead mouse in her washing machine!
"And then I stood there and asked myself: How did it get there? How do I get rid of it? Should I just burn the washing machine and dryer? How many showers do I have to take now?" Leah recounts the shocking discovery.
The woman from Philadelphia posted a videoon Instagram in which she filmed the dead animal in her washing machine. Her video has already been viewed almost four million times. "Maybe all these views will attract the attention of Bosch and I can buy a new washing machine from all this," says Leah with amusement.
