Offended a defenceless woman: transgender offender sent to men's prison
Swindon (England) - When she still identified as a man, Lexi Secker (35) brutallyraped a woman. The transgender perpetrator has now been sentenced to a long prison term - in a men's prison.
More than a year ago, she assaulted a helpless woman. Back then the perpetrator was still called Alexander, now she feels like a woman herself.
Lexi Secker (35) hoped for leniency from Judge Jason Taylor until the very end. But he sentenced the rapist to six and a half years in prison, to be served in a prison for men. Secker will also remain on the sex offenders' register for an "indefinite" period. This was reported by the BBC and The Sun.
The chamber found it proven that on April 23, 2023, Secker lured her victim to a remote wooded area near Blundson , England, only to rape her. Secker had previously gained the woman's trust at a party, pretending to want to take her for a "walk" so that she could "sober up".
During the trial, Secker claimed that she was now living as a woman and was being harassed by other inmates in the men's prison. She was suffering from depression and needed psychological help. Moreover, the sexual intercourse with the heavily intoxicated injured party was "consensual" and even "initiated" by the woman, the defendant claimed.
The judge saw this somewhat differently: "I am sure that they hatched a plan to be alone with her". He attested that the defendant had been able to "exercise judgment, make rational decisions and understand the consequences of her actions".
Perpetrator accepts sentence in tears
Lexi Secker's victim also had her say. The brave woman still suffers from the consequences of the repugnant act to this day.
Nevertheless, she appeared in court. "Alex took away my trust in people and in myself. The assault filled me with shame and fear," she said, addressing her rapist.
In his sentencing, Judge Taylor found clear words: "At the time of this offense, you were a man. You identified yourself as a man and, as the evidence shows, you were clearly attracted to women." He sees no basis for Secker, who is now allegedly attracted to men, to be sent to a prison for women.
Lexi Secker accepted the verdict in tears.
