Abandoned dogs wander the streets - then one is suddenly hit by a car and thrown away
California (USA) - This fate broke even the experienced animal rescuer's heart into 1000 pieces.
This Friday, she told her supporters on Facebook about a rescue operation that will probably keep her busy for quite some time.
"Imagine living on the street with your best friend by your side, and then suddenly you see her get hit by a car," Suzette Hall summarized the tragic story of her latest protégé.
"And the last image you have of her is her body being thrown in the bin by some people. And then you're all on your own."
Hall still can't believe what this little fur nose has had to go through in her short life. Frightened and alone, the dog ended up wandering the streets, searching in vain for help. Although she was occasionally fed by residents of the neighborhood, no one could do more for the four-legged friend.
So it's no wonder that Hall immediately took action when she heard about her tragic fate. As she had her hands full with one of her other protégés at the time, she sent two friends to help the dog.
"And they refused to give up," Hall reported proudly.

After a while, the two managed to herd the dog girl into a storage room, where she was initially pushed into a corner before finally being caught.
"It wasn't easy, but I was so incredibly happy," Hall continued on her Facebook account.
"I finally got to pick her up this morning and saw how sad she was. I know exactly how it feels to lose someone you love." Hall was referring to her son Logan, who passed away six years ago at the age of just 18.
"We will heal her sad heart," the animal rescuer is certain. "You sweet baby is finally safe."
