Frankfurt am Main - Dangerous serial rapist on the loose! The police and public prosecutor's office published an explicit warning this Monday due to multiple sexual assaults on Chinese citizens. The modus operandi is shocking.
According to a joint press release from the Frankfurt public prosecutor's office and the Frankfurt criminal investigation department, the authorities are already investigating several cases of sexual abuse that have frightening similarities.
Since January of this year, a total of four cases are known in which a suspected serial offender raped women during apartment viewings.
Prior to this, he is said to have targeted young Chinese women via the online platforms "Xiaohongshu" or "WeChat" and expressed interest in apartments advertised for rent or purchase in order to arrange a personal meeting.
He also used the popular platforms to enquire about accommodation ("couchsurfing").
During the chat communications, the perpetrator, who investigators currently believe to be a man of Chinese origin, sometimes pretended to be a woman in order to gain the trust of the victim.
Four cases of rape have been reported so far - the number of unreported cases is unknown!
According to police reports, two of these gruesome cases took place in Frankfurt and were reported there.
Two others were reported to the authorities in neighboring federal states. However, these are only the incidents that are known to the justice system.
It is possible that there are many more women who were also victims of the bestial rapist.
As the public prosecutor's office is currently of the opinion that this is a serial offender, the investigation is being conducted by the Frankfurt prosecution authorities.
People are urgently warned not to visit apartments on their own or to offer to do so themselves. Extreme caution should be exercised at such appointments.
