"Grill den Henssler" broadcasts Mother's Day special: This TV legend uses the show as a dating service
Cologne - The new season of "Grill den Henssler" is still in its infancy, but just in time for Mother's Day, three very special mother-son teams are trying their hand at the TV stove. Spicy and funny anecdotes included!
Around two weeks after the start of the new season, star chef Steffen Henssler (51) and presenter Laura Wontorra (35) are back in the kitchen.
To celebrate the special day of all mothers this time: Internet legend Jens "Knossi" Knossalla (37) with mom Ida, actor Oliver (55) and mom Claudia Mommsen and Kay Tomlow as well as mom and "Mini Playback Show" icon Marijke Amado (70).
The latter wants to use the opportunity to finally get her son Kay married. "My son Kay is still single", the 70-year-old revealed while preparing her starter "Maastrichter Allerlei".
The TV legend seems to have the sympathy of the audience and celebrity daughter Laura Wontorra on her side. "And I thought my father was unpleasant on television," the sports presenter jokes.
Laura Wontorra dissed by "Knossi's" mom
Internet star "Knossi" and mom Ida Knossalla are much less offensive just a little later.
While the main course is still being conjured up, the 37-year-old father makes it clear that his mother has always dreamed of being able to cook alongside Steffen Henssler.
"This is her lifelong dream", "Knossi" makes clear. However, unlike the main course "Braised pointed cabbage with fleckerln and pancetta", his mom doesn't really warm to Laura Wontorra's questions.
She quickly realizes that she has no chance of having a lively conversation with the likeable lady while cooking. "I've never been so charmingly dissed on the show as by Knossi's mother."
Oliver Mommsen's mother also lets slip many an explosive detail about her famous son. Claudia is particularly fond of the topic of "kissing". "It makes me laugh," she explains humorously.
"He once made a movie where he kissed ... you can't imagine! Like a beginner in 6th grade. You could tell he was so embarrassed." Will it be his entire appearance on "Grill den Henssler"? The Mother's Day special can be seen on VOX from 8.15 pm. The episodes can be streamed in advance on RTL+.
