"Prelude to a third world war": Poland warns of Ukraine's defeat

Berlin/Warsaw - Victory or defeat for Ukraine in the war against Russia: Poland has now warned of a third world war if the neighboring country does not receive enough weapons. For one of them, this war is already underway.

In Berlin on Monday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki (54) called for Germany's continued support in the fight against the Russian war of aggression and repeatedly demanded arms deliveries to Ukraine.

"A defeat in Ukraine could be the prelude to a third world war," said Morawiecki and asked for the German government to take the lead. And that means, above all, supplying "all kinds of weapons".

Investments in heavy war equipment and tanks in recent years should not be allowed to remain in warehouses, but should be placed in the hands of Europe's defenders, the politician explained.

Poland's President, Andrzej Duda (50), also wanted to campaign once again for the delivery of Leopard battle tanks to Ukraine at the World Economic Forum, which is currently taking place in Davos.

Meanwhile, pithy words came from another direction.

For Russia, the war is still a military "special operation"

The Chechen dictator, Ramzan Kadyrov (46), has also spoken out about a third world war. For him, this has already happened. The conflict is being fought on Ukrainian soil. However, if you look at which states are supporting the country and thus participating in the conflict - we are talking about Europe, the NATO bloc and the USA - "if we call these states the world community, then we can say that this is the third world war", said Kadyrov in a live broadcast on his Instagram channel.

However, the conflict is still a "local and fully controlled" military "special operation" for Moscow and not a war, the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda quoted the 46-year-old as saying.

He emphasized that Russia was also in a position to offer resistance to the NATO bloc.

According to another report in Komsomolskaya Pravda, Kadyrov suggested at the end of last year that the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky (44), "should be sentenced after the special operation in Grozny is completed". For what, he left open.
