Fires in Los Angeles: Mega star wants to save cat - what happens next is heartbreaking
Los Angeles (California/USA) - In the midst of the terrible fires in Los Angeles , Paris Hilton (43) had to watch her beloved house go up in flames. So she knows only too well what it feels like to lose something that means everything to you. So it's no wonder that she is currently making it her mission to provide the best possible support to others affected.
So far, the US It girl has not only donated a lot of money - she has already donated well over 800,000 US dollars (the equivalent of around 775,000 euros). Hilton is also actively committed to reuniting families with their beloved pets that were lost in the flames.
She works closely with the Pasadena Humane Society animal shelter, as she shows in several posts on her Instagram account.
In one of them, Hilton can be seen cuddling a cat that was separated from its family due to the fire. As the hotel heiress gently strokes the kitty's fur, she quickly realizes that this little soul is as cuddly as at least some of her fellow cats usually are.
Hilton is therefore certain that this animal must come from a really loving home. And it should be reunited with that home as soon as possible.

Family and cat reunited - unfortunately without a happy ending
So she shared some details about the furry friend and the location online - in the hope that her owners would take notice. And lo and behold! The 43-year-old's efforts seem to have borne fruit.
Just a few hours after she started campaigning for the animal, she received a text message from an animal shelter employee. In it, Hilton was informed that the cat (which Hilton had previously mistaken for a tomcat) and her loved one had found each other again.
Unfortunately, there is still no happy ending for the reunited couple, as TMZ reported. As the owners of the cuddly four-legged friend lost their home in the flames, the velvet paw has to stay at the animal shelter for the time being.
