83-year-old wins the lottery, then it gets brutal
Orlando (USA) - An 83-year-old woman from Orlando (Florida, USA) was delighted to win the lottery and collected her money from a store. A few seconds later, she had already lost some of the money - in a brutal way!
The robbery happened yesterday morning, Wednesday, at around 8 a.m. (local time). A video released by the local sheriff's office shows what happened:
The brazen thief walks right up to the elderly lady. In her hand is the money she has won. As he stands in front of her, he tries to grab it.
The woman initially pulls it away and the man lets her go. Then another attack follows, this time the perpetrator is more brutal.
He tries to snatch the money, knocking the helpless woman to the ground. Fortunately, the presumed owner of the store is already on the scene. He pulls the violent man away from the defenceless woman and tries to save her money.
He is actually able to save the woman from another assault. However, he doesn't quite succeed in arresting the perpetrator, who manages to break away and makes off with some of the money.
The alleged son of the victim comes forward
He was later identified by the police as Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury. However, the police were not the only ones looking for him, as a comment under the video on Facebook shows.
One user, who claims to be the son of the woman who was attacked, wrote that he was also looking for him.
He also clarified the condition of his mother. Apart from a bruised wrist, nothing was wrong with her.
Other users agree that special thanks are due to the man who heroically intervened and was thus able to prevent something worse from happening.
In the meantime, the sheriff's office has announced that Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury has been caught.
