Dogs disappear without a trace: police uncover gruesome crimes
Bowie County (USA) - An American man has to stand trial for animal cruelty. What Stuart Duncan Hammonds (24) did is simply cruel!
As KSLA News 12 reported, the Bowie County (Texas) police were asked for help at the beginning of October. The reason: several dogs had disappeared without a trace.
One of the owners had finally alerted the officers to a possible suspect. An investigation was launched and the police found what they were looking for - on the property of the alleged dog abductor Hammonds.
The smell of decomposed animals caught the officers' noses. On closer inspection, the officers made several horrific discoveries. The skeletal remains of twelve dogs lay around the 24-year-old's house and barn.
All of the four-legged friends had possibly been shot in the head.
Texas dog slaughterer is said to have even adopted some of his victims
Investigations finally revealed that Hammonds had killed four of the twelve animals during a fit of rage. Beforehand, he is said to have had a fight with his girlfriend.
But how did the 24-year-old get hold of all the animals in the first place? The police assume that the butcher kidnapped free-roaming dogs as well as tracking down four-legged friends in need of help on the internet, adopting them and then killing them.
The young American must now stand trial for his actions.
